Neel Gammelgård heads DFPA’s private sector programme in Kenya and the international strategy for private sector partnerships. She has 15 years’ experience within Sustainability, CSR and SDG Partnerships – focusing on the social side and on establishing a clear business-case to build sustainability.
Previously, she worked as Senior Manager in The Lego Group, where she made the famous toy brand’s first human rights' impact assessment, policy and strategy. She managed social impacts and due diligence in the global value chain and headed The LEGO Group's partnership with UNICEF. In the international department of Save the Children Denmark, she had responsibility for CSR & Partnerships, activating companies as change-agents for children. Partners included Bestseller and JYSK. She has a life-long passion for Asia and lived and worked several years in Hanoi, Vietnam with a CSR Consultancy Agency. Her experience further includes the Danish Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
Neel Gammelgård has been a board member of the Danish Ethical Trade Initiative (DIEH) and part of the Steering Group in the Danish Business Network for Human Rights. She has a master’s degree in political science as well as an exam. art in East Asian area studies from Aarhus University.
