Anna is the Economic Institutions Policy Analyst in the Economic Empowerment Section of the Policy Division at UN Women in New York. She specializes in economic institutions in relation to gender equality in employment and entrepreneurship. She leads the design and operationalization of UN Women’s Flagship Programming Initiative “Stimulating equal opportunities for women entrepreneurs”, which focuses on gender responsive procurement, value chains, WEPs and finance. As part of this work, she collaborates with governments, corporations and international organization to increase sourcing from women-owned businesses and from gender-responsive companies. With the support of Citi and WEConnect International, Anna led the production of the publication “The Power of Procurement: How to Source from Women-Owned Business.” Prior to joining UN Women, she worked in Washington. D.C. at a development consulting firm. Before that, she was responsible for quantitative data analysis for research on intersectionality, specifically focusing on racial and gender inequality in public high school systems in urban school districts in the United States. She has also conducted original participatory research and film projects on migrant women’s organizations. Ms. Gollub holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where she concentrated on Economic and Political Development, and specialized in Advanced Policy and Economic Analysis. Her Bachelor’s degree is in International Relations and Women’s Studies from Tufts University.
