Zara Porter is Communications and Public Affairs Officer at the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission. Zara has worked for the Commission since 2015, and leads its work on business and human rights. She coordinates the work of the Northern Ireland Business and Human Rights Forum, established by the Commission in early 2015, and engages with government, business, NGOs and academia to promote and protect human rights in business. Zara also leads the Commission’s work on sport and human rights, developing partnerships with Northern Ireland’s sports bodies and coordinating the Northern Ireland Sport and Human Rights Forum. This work takes place at both national and international level, and Zara has developed the Commission’s work as focal point on sport and human rights for the Commonwealth Forum of National Human Rights Institutions.
